Application data and local recordings
PC Desktop Recorder stores recording output on your PC in the location you choose. The app may contact our servers to verify registration, check license status, check for updates, and download approved update packages. These checks do not require us to collect your recording content.
If an application error report feature is enabled, the report is intended to include diagnostic information needed to understand the error, such as app version, error type, operating environment, and sanitized technical details. Error reports should not include your recordings, passwords, payment credentials, or private file contents. If you choose to send files to support, those files are handled as support material.
Cookies
We use essential cookies and similar browser storage for login sessions, security tokens, checkout/cart state, cookie notice acceptance, and site functionality. We do not need cookies to collect your recording content.
Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate the website, process payments, deliver email, protect the site, provide downloads, and support customers. These providers may include payment processors, email providers, hosting/tunnel/security providers, and related infrastructure services.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, to prevent fraud or abuse, to enforce our terms, or to protect users and the security of our systems.
Security
We use security measures such as password hashing, HTTPS, CSRF protection, passkey support, protected download tokens, license verification, access controls, and security logging. No website, application, or network transmission can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure, but we work to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.
Data retention
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for account management, purchase records, licensing, support, security, legal, accounting, and operational purposes. Some records, such as purchase/license records and security logs, may be retained longer when necessary to prevent fraud, prove purchase history, support licensing, or comply with legal obligations.
Your choices
You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with your account, subject to security, licensing, fraud-prevention, legal, and accounting requirements. You may also choose not to provide optional contact/support information, although that may limit our ability to respond to your request.
